Request materials or place them on hold

If a book or other item is not currently available, patrons may request to have a hold placed on the item so that they can check out the item when it becomes available. Items may be placed on hold in person, by phone or online through My Account. You can also indicate at which branch you would like to pick up the item(s). You will be notified by phone, text or e-mail when the item is available for you to pick up.

Riverside Regional Library is part of the Missouri Evergreen consortium. Through Missouri Evergreen, patrons may request materials from other libraries throughout the state for FREE! If a Riverside library does not have an item, library staff can request it for you or you can use our online catalog to search the Missouri Evergreen libraries collections.  If it is available, you can place a hold for that item, and it will be transferred to your Riverside library branch.

Patrons may also request an item – book, audio, e-book, e-audio, DVD, etc., – be purchased by the library by completing this form. All requests will be considered but purchase is not guaranteed.  Purchase decisions are made based on cost, availability, readership appeal, and library selection criteria.

Inter-Library Loan

If you can’t find what you want in the Riverside/Missouri Evergreen collection, we can request it from another library through the Inter-Library Loan Service. The lending library determines how long the item may be borrowed and how much the overdue fine will be (if any).

Riverside charges patrons $1 per item to help defray the cost of postage; this fee is due at the time the item is checked out. If the ILL item is lost, damaged, or stolen, the patron is responsible for the replacement cost as determined by the lending library; such payment must be made immediately and cannot be charged to the patron’s account.

Public Computer Use

Each library branch has computers with Internet access available for public use. Before their first use, patrons will be asked to sign the Riverside Internet policy, which will be kept on file at the library. Parents may sign for their children under the age of 16.

NOTE: At this time, computer use is limited to a 30-minute period. Also fewer public computers are available at each branch to encourage social distancing.

Notary services

Notary public services are available at our Jackson and Perryville branches. A $2 fee per stamp is charged for this service. A fee is not charge for notarizing an election ballot.
